It has surprised many people that this advance technology depends on the old style SIM card. They realized this when they wanted to update their phones and could not do so, where to turn?
For those people who already had a hep cell phone but could not upgrade to their cell phone, it was a let down. Companies are very much in the know how of the existence of this problem and they are working towards resolving it. The main problem lies in the various forms in which a SIM is encrypted. To some extent it will be able to bring this change but still it will not apply to all phones.
Apple is trying to resolve most of the problems but still all cell phones will not get the advantage which means you will have to transfer the entire relevant data on paper from your old phone. But it will save you from a lot of problems that you may face down the road. As in most cell phones where you can easily change the SIM card.
In fact you may find it difficult to locate the SIM card immediately. Many peo
ple have started thinking that it does not have one. For removing it you need a paper clip. The irony is that those people who faced problems with their cell phone, have sent it in after removing the SIM card. They were then able to use it with other models of AT&T phones.
The question that comes to the mind is why is there no two way compatibility? This is what people at Apple are wondering. Still they are the most reliable service people and you can rest assured that they will find a way out.
You must know that removing the SIM card from your cell phone can void your warranty. It is so because the information about the operating system can be ruined this way. There is a lot more data in your cell phone SIM card than what you have used it for. In case you have to access the data from the SIM card you must take it to an authorized dealer.
Hope this helps, but remember it is not as scary to change out your own Sim Card as you may think. Just take your time and be patient with technology, because we all know how frustrating we can get when things don't instantly work.
